These are the gates leading into Astley Park. Inside the gates to the left is the town Cenotaph. The whole park, which houses Astley Hall, was given to the town as a War Memorial by Reginald Arthur Tatton in 1922.

Return to Park Road via the stone gateway. Walk to the right. Notice the remains of an old water fountain in the wall of the park. Continue past the end of Queens Road.
